Weekly Highlights:

Math: This week we worked on subtracting multi-digit numbers and relating addition and subtraction as inverse operations. Students learned how to regroup in subtraction and then check their work using addition.

Writing: We continued to work on our personal narratives. This week we focused on adding the internal story; feelings and emotions, sensory detail, and transitional words and phrases to make our writing even better!

Reading: This week we worked on noticing important details about the characters in our book. We noticed character traits, characters deepest desires and the obstacles that get in their way, and asking ourselves why the author included specific details about our characters.

We worked on sanding our petoskey stones.

We were able to enjoy the beautiful day by writing outside.

We love the new game Farkle. This game helps us practice subtraction.

We learned about the constitution this week. We then created our class constitution to create the rules and things our class family will practice to ensure we succeed this year.

4th Grade Family Time:

At the end of the week we come together to celebrate our class success for the week. We will give awards and reflect on what we did well this week and the things we want to improve on for next week.
