Weekly Highlights:

• We had another great week getting to now each other better! I am very encouraged by the way our class has taken our BE NICE motto so seriously!

Math: We continue to work on understanding place values, being able to write and say numbers to the millions, round numbers to the 100,000’s, and compare numbers.

Writing: This week we have generated writing ideas by thinking about people, places, and emotions that we have. These ideas will be used to write personal narrative stories.

Reading: This week we started our class read aloud, Tiger Rising. We created reading goals and actions steps that we would take this year to achieve these goals. We spent time coming up with ways to create a culture of reading in our classroom, and we of course had time to jump into reading our individual books.
