What a great full week! We have been getting back in the groove of being in school!

Update for Parents:

Please make sure your child is coming to school with appropriate winter wear, it is cold out there!

Learning:

Reading: Students have been working on severe weather and natural disaster projects this week. We have become experts by researching and are compiling all that we have learned onto posters. Students have had a great time getting a chance to be creative. I can’t wait to see their final projects!

Writing: Students have been learning all about the difference in narrative writing and essays. We have started planning and writing a personal essay which is all about a big idea or an opinion we have.

Math: Hooray! We finished our math tests this week! I am so proud of all the hard work I have seen this week! We will begin a new unit on math properties. Students are excited to learn about this upper level stuff! 🙂 Math tests will be coming home next week.
