Weekly Update

Notes For Parents:

Tuesday: Field Day
Thursday: Color day, our class will wear all blue. We will also be having a pizza party for students who have read 5,000 pages this year. Your child knows if they will be participating in this. Not all students achieved this goal therefore they will have a regular lunch that day.
If your child has library books or classroom books that they are no longer reading, please start sending those back to school.

Weekly Highlights:

Math: Students should have taken home their final math tests on Friday. I was impressed with students knowledge on measurement. We will finish the year up with some review of past math concepts.

Writing: This week we continued writing our informational books. Students are “publishing” their work on google slides. They are creating text features and making their books more interesting to readers.

Reading: Students are continuing to read their biography books. They are learning about their historical figure and seeing how they have made a positive impact on the world.
