Notes For Parents:

• Your child will be recording their STEAM concussion videos next week Tuesday. They can bring in props to record.
• Next week Friday is a half day!
• SHH…We will be doing a classroom transformation on Friday, February 5. We will become a bakery! I am in need of some materials that would make this classroom transformation a great success. If you would like to sign up to donate some materials it would be greatly appreciated! Sign up is here. Please bring in all materials by Thursday, February 4.
• I will be sending out some Valentines Party information next week!

Weekly Highlights:

Math: This week we continued to work through multistep word problems. We will be reviewing and testing our understanding of word problems next week.

Writing: We continue to work on our personal essay’s. Some students have completed their first personal essay and are writing a new one independently. Some students are just wrapping up their editing of their first personal essay!

Reading: This week our book clubs have been focusing our attention on the hidden theme or lesson that the author wants readers to learn. Our discussions have continued to improve and sound more like 5th grade conversations than 4th!
