Notes For Parents:
- I have been back at school since Wednesday, it was so great to be back, I missed my students so much!
- Thank you to those of you who have donated nonperishable food items to our canned drive. You can still donate if you haven’t already done so. We will be donating them at the end of next week.
- We have a full week of school next week. For safety reasons with the rise of COVID-19 cases throughout our district we will have Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24 off. We will send home learning packets that will be completed at home on these days, more information to come.
- Next week we have conferences. Please check the time slot to make sure I have recorded the correct conference time. I am looking forward to “meeting” with all of you next week.

Weekly Highlights:
Math: This week we finished up our multiplication unit lessons and have begun reviewing for our test. We will be reviewing and testing next week. Look out for your child’s test at the end of the week. Please look it over with them once it is handed back.
Writing: We finished our first realistic fiction stories and have begun creating a new story independently. Students have been using mentor texts to learn how to add more description to the start of their story.
Reading: This week started a new read aloud, I Survived the San Francisco Earthquakes. Students had a little extra time to independently read this week. They love diving into their chapter books. Next week we will start a weather research project.
