  • If you would like to volunteer in our classroom, please sign up here.
  • Our class will be visiting the Penguin Patch holiday shop this Tuesday, December 17. If you would like your child to shop at the holiday shop, please send his/her $ in a labeled envelope (preferably the one sent home attached to the penguin patch note). Thank you!
  • Our classroom holiday party will be on Thursday, December 19 from 12:30-1:45 pm. Parent volunteers, be on the lookout for an email from me with confirmation details!

Holidays Around the World

• This week we traveled to new countries around the world to learn about the different Holidays and traditions that are celebrated there. Thank you to all the parents who donated so we can make Gingerbread houses. We made them with our 4th grade buddies!

  • Our Learning!

  • Writing – This week we looked at published nonfiction books that we have been reading to help us as we write one final nonfiction book of our own to publish!
  • Word Study – We practiced matching word beginnings and endings to make new words and continued to learn new important word endings!
  • Math – This week students wrapped up unit 3 of math focusing on word problems and did so great on their tests! These will be coming home sometime next week.
  • Reading – Kiddos shared new words that they were discovering in their nonfiction books and searched for key words during their reading time.
