- If you would like to volunteer in our classroom, please sign up here.
- If you signed up to bring in gingerbread house supplies, please make sure to send it to school with your child by Tuesday, December 10th at the latest! That is when we will be building our gingerbread houses. Thank you so much for all of the donations we have already received.
- Our holiday music program will be on Thursday, December 12 at Fairhaven Church. Check our school blog for more information about program times and drop-off locations.

Holidays Around the World
- This week we took off on a plane to visit countries around the world to learn about the different Holidays and traditions that are celebrated there. Your child has learned about Greenland, Israel, Australia, and England thus far!
Our Learning!
Reading– This week we continued our non-fiction unit. Students worked on strategies to solve hard words in their non-fiction books.
Writing – Students learned how to make a table of contents for their books and worked on adding more detail to our nonfiction stories.
Math – We worked on solving tricky mixed addition and subtraction story problems. Your child’s quick quiz will be coming home this week!
Word Study – This week students learned that blends don’t just come at the beginnings of words, they can also come at the ends of words. We worked to brainstorm words with endings like; -ing, -st, -th, and -ank.
